Manjusha's ode with music started with Pt. Chintubua Mhaiskar, in 1982, at the early age of 12. Her hidden talent and potential was acclaimed by Pt. D.V. Kane, (fondly known as Kane bua) a turning point in her musical life. This was in 1985, Pt. Kane bua started grooming her talents by teaching her in Gurukul system at Ichalkaranji. She has been Kanebua's disciple for 12 long years. Pt. Kane bua taught her the particulars of Gharana. She was guided by Late Pt. Narendra Kanekar & Mrs. Shubhada Paradkar as well. She has continued her training from Dr. Ashok D. Ranade, Dr. Vikas Kashalkar and Pt. Ulhas Kashalkar who have been continually instrumental in carving her career as a performing artiste.

Manjusha has been gifted with a forceful & seasoned voice. Tunefulness, confidence of rhythm, purity in exposition of Raga, complex patterning of 'Taan', speed & clarity are a few other highlights of her singing. She also excels in Semi Classical Music & Light Music, especially Marathi Stage Songs. Her portfolio reveals many important concerts and programs of national and international repute and awards bestowed on her.

'A' grade accredited artiste of All India Radio in both Classical & Semi - Classical Music also. Manjusha has completed M.A. (Music) from Shivaji University with a 1st rank. She has also pursued her 'Sangeet Visharad' from Gandharva Mahavidyalaya, Miraj. She hails from Sangli, a Maharashtra township, which breathes, dreams and lives various art forms, generating artists of worldwide recognition. She is a secretary of Pt. D.V. Kanebua Sangeet Pratisthan.
